Friday FavoritesQuick Friday favorite for today – Japanese erasers. So backing up, I ordered myself a set after reading Diane Hidy’s blog post. Then I started using them for interval practice activities (steps, skips and then onto 4ths, 5ths… and so on). Then I got to see her present at Texas Music Teacher’s Association Convention in Houston in June.  She’s awesome. So many fun teaching ideas and cute manipulatives to entertain my students better. And her collection of erasers was amazing! So now I’m ordering a lot more and planning more games with them. And getting some silicone muffin containers to hold them in.

I’m sure you already know about her amazing teaching tips but I’m telling you now, if you don’t have those cute erasers yet you should order one or two packs. They fit right on the keys and my students love it! They make ordinary interval drills so fun to review.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
