My studio semester begins next week – so many little things left to prepare before the first student arrives! One of my projects this summer was beginning a point system (based off Spring’s post here) to reward practice but keeping track of points in student notebooks wasn’t my favorite way to do it. As I shopped online, I kept thinking “This one was nice but a bit cheesy for my older students… That one really isn’t pretty enough…” Finally, I thought “How hard would it be to make my own versions and print a few for students to choose from?”
So ta-da! Today I am sharing my three versions of incentive charts with you. Below are the pdf files to download. As I prepped for my students, I decided to print them with two to a page so I could cut them out and laminate them. I’ll let students choose from the three options and we may use a Sharpie pen to mark stars rather than stickers. Hope you enjoy using these with your students as well! I tried to make them work for any music studio – piano or any other instrument.
