Recital season is upon us and I am happy to say that all 5 of my recitals are complete!  We had a full weekend, but who can complain when you have so many wonderful students.  Today we’re sharing a free resource that the wonderful folks at JoyTunes have created.  If you aren’t familiar with JoyTunes you should definitely look into them, they are doing lots of great things with current technology and piano teaching.  The newest little tool they have offered teachers is free recital templates which you can find here: recitals.joytunes.com.

There are six templates to choose from and they are super easy to fill in.  I made one for the homeschool co-op that I teach at and it took maybe 5 minutes total to fill it out and email to parents.  It makes a nice little reminder for parents that’s not annoying but instead is nice enough that they can share it with extended family and friends who might want to come to the recital.  Here’s the invitation I created:

As a fun little bonus you can even see a map of all the JoyTunes invitations that have been created in the US.  It’s neat to see when others are having recitals and which invitation they chose.  If you still have a recital coming up, make one of these right away!  If yours has already passed, keep this in mind for the next one!
