Welcome to 2017! Things have been slow around here at 4D recently, but we have big things planned for the year ahead!  We started this blog back in February of 2013, and it’s hard to believe it’s already been four years since then.  We’ve been through seasons of frequent posts, and seasons of scarce posts as our lives have changed and evolved, but we are still planning on posting and sharing with you this year.

This year we have plans to share with you a new composer discovery series, showcasing lesser-known composers with valuable works for our students, along with plans for some new improv prompts for your students, printable games, updates on our favorite apps, and more!  We also have some presentations coming up this year and we’d love for you to come see us.  We’ll be presenting along with our friend and colleague, Sarah Alexander, at the MTNA National Conference in Baltimore in the morning on Wednesday, March 22.  Our session is “The More the Merrier: Creating Collaborative Experiences for Students of All Ages” and we promise it will be worth your time!  We’ll be presenting the same session at the Texas state conference in June as well, so if you can’t make it to Baltimore, maybe you can catch us there.  We’re looking forward to all that 2017 holds, and we hope you will join us as we continue to seek to improve our teaching and share what we learn with you.
